dc.description.abstractThis thesis presents a general background on utility-scale wind power, providing the interestedreader with a basis for understanding wind power in general, as well as providing a solidfoundation for further understanding of the technical, economic, and policy dimensions of windpower development world-wide. The concepts in this thesis are illustrated with economic dataand current policy from the U.S. wind sector. The paper provides extensive references and linksto well-established bodies of knowledge on wind power in written form and on the Web,enabling the reader to become aware of and conversant in the latest developments in wind powerfor clean energy generation.
